שלום עליכם Shalom alecheim, chaverim and mishpacha! 🙂 Peace be upon you, friends and family! 🙂 So, here’s where I share a little about myself and what I plan for this blog of mine. 🙂 I love to read and talk about books, as do many of my friends and family. This blog will have book reviews of books I like and also of some I don’t like. My favorite genres to read, or write for that matter, are Young Adult/Middle Grade Mysteries and Historical, Judaism/Messianic Jewish/Christian.
In addition to the book reviews, I’ll write thoughts from my soul, and I hope you enjoy reading them! You’ll find Hebrew and Yiddish words on this blog, and I’ll try to make sure I explain what they mean. I have a lot of interests that includes, as I mentioned in the first paragraph (you didn’t forget already, did you? 😮 ) reading, music (playing/learning piano and guitar), science, history, technology, listening to music, watching movies and YouTube, hanging out at Goodreads, photography, photos, sports, but especially, being with friends and family whom I love. 🙂 I love ישוע Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus) – He is our promised HaMashiach (Hebrew for Messiah) and has provided the only way to be right with God, serve Him, and have infinite joy for eternity. Which is like a really really long time. 😛 I’m serious though, it’s kinda hard to comprehend the magnitude. I’m thankful for the Bible, for in it you can find, with the help of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), the way to eternal life as well as how the Creator wants us to live. In the Bible, I find family history, science, mystery, intrigue, faith, love, romance, humor, creative arts, plus the past, present, and future all in one Book. And that’s why it’s the best Book ever!
My taste in music includes songs from various genres and times. The kind of movies I like are ones I immediately love and have compelling plotlines. Some movies and books I’m expected to like, due to incorrect assumptions and thinking by the media, are not appealing to me. Also, I find it comical (because you have to laugh at some stuff) whenever anyone says something to the effect of wondering how I even know about a particular movie or song or whatever since it was made before I was born. This is a mystery that I can watch/hear/read something from before I was born? I don’t believe it’s all that remarkable.  Thankfully, a variety of recorded media allows me, and others, to discover those things and enjoy them. I know what is good – what I like. 😀 In a way, those things gives us the ability to time-travel.
Another thing about me ~ I love to laugh, because let’s face it, that’s a necessity in life, right? 🙂 So you’ll find a collection I’ll be adding to of some of my favorite jokes. 🙂
I’m very happy you came to check out my blog and I hope it is a blessing. 🙂

  1. Shalom, Chaya! 🙂 This blog is so beautiful – in appearance as well as in words. 🙂 As I read your “About”, I noticed that much of it reflected my own thoughts and understanding of things; I’m looking forward to reading more of your words – you put things in such a clear, fun, enjoyable and personable way. 🙂
